Fidelity Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) - Specialist

As a GSOC Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our company premises, employees, and stakeholders. You will be responsible for dispatching and coordinating responses to various emergencies, analyzing intelligence to mitigate global threats, and supporting our travel security program. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and work in a flexible scheduling environment will be crucial to your success in this role.

Coordinate and dispatch responses to incidents occurring on company premises or at corporate events, utilizing appropriate communication methods. This includes managing responses to medical emergencies, burglaries, fires, and duress alarms. Operators may also need to liaise with law enforcement, fire departments, or other public safety organizations during emergencies at or near company property.

Evaluate, analyze, and escalate open-source and subscription-based intelligence to mitigate and report global threats to company property, employees, and stakeholders.

Accurately document, thoroughly assess, and promptly escalate instances of potential threats in the workplace. This involves maintaining detailed records of observed or reported threats, evaluating their severity and potential impact, and ensuring timely communication to relevant security partners for appropriate action. The objective is to enhance workplace safety by proactively addressing and mitigating risks.

Provide comprehensive support to the travel security program by actively monitoring associate travel and ensuring preparedness to account for them during events of concern or elevated risk. This includes tracking travel itineraries, assessing potential threats related to travel destinations, and maintaining real-time communication with associates. In the event of heightened risk or emergencies, the GSOC Specialist will coordinate with relevant security teams to ensure the safety and well-being of traveling associates, providing timely updates and necessary assistance.

Report any unusual or abnormal conditions to the company's security personnel, management, employees, suppliers, and facilities organization. This involves promptly identifying and documenting irregularities, ensuring clear and effective communication with all relevant parties to address and resolve potential issues swiftly.

Collaborate closely with internal security, facilities & real estate, enterprise resiliency, and business continuity teams during incidents or events that impact business operations. This involves coordinating efforts to ensure a unified response, sharing critical information, and leveraging each team's expertise to effectively manage and mitigate the impact of such incidents. The GSOC Specialist will play a key role in facilitating communication, supporting recovery efforts, and ensuring that all necessary measures are taken to protect company assets and maintain operational continuity.

Receive, evaluate, and disseminate incoming information and reports from company security personnel, field security officers, employees, suppliers, reporting parties, and local agencies. This involves systematically assessing the relevance and accuracy of the information, ensuring it is communicated effectively to appropriate stakeholders, and facilitating timely and informed decision-making processes.

Create detailed, fact-based incident reports for distribution to various Fidelity stakeholders. This involves gathering accurate and comprehensive information about incidents, analyzing the data to ensure clarity and relevance, and compiling it into concise reports. These reports must effectively communicate the key facts and findings. The GSOC Specialist will ensure that all reports are meticulously documented and distributed promptly to maintain transparency and support the company's security objectives.

Facilitate the coordination of service requests for after-hours access to Fidelity offices. This involves managing and processing requests efficiently, ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained, and communicating with relevant personnel to provide seamless access outside of regular business hours.

The expertise and skills you bring include :

  • 1+ year of full-time professional experience, preferably in an operations, customer service, or control center setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Alarm Monitoring, Access Control, Video Management, and Crisis Communication technology.
  • Ability to work in a flexible scheduling environment (rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays).
