Unit capacity is 6 beds. Population served includes patients with cardiac surgery, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and those post-cardiopulmonary arrest. Patients are typically young adults through late adults (ages 18-60). Nurse to patient ratios are maintained to ensure quality care.
