Due to an upcoming retirement, a well-established manufacturer is seeking an  Electrical Designer  to design electrical panels for their equipment line.  The  Electrical Designer  will be trained by a long-term employee and will work with a team of engineers to complete new equipment projects.  Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to :

• Create and modify wiring schematics for equipment design; most designs are modified from previous equipment designs
• Design and build the control panel by programming and creating schematics
• Adhere to UL standards and eventually become the UL expert at the plant
• Spend up to 15% of the time on electrical support and troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor and installation
• Support R&D projects and new designs
• Modify bill of materials and assist with owner’s manuals
• Work in AutoCAD to design control panels
• Complete digital and analog programming related to PLCs
• Work on up to three electrical projects at a time
• Support the sales team on quoting initiatives
• Other duties as directed by management

Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, communicating with manufacturing on status of projects and providing technical electrical support to internal and external customers as needed.
