Director, Information Technology

This position is located on-site in San Jose.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead and direct the day-to-day activities related to departmental execution for MIS.
• Define and implement policies to improve the overall efficiency of the stated departments. Analyze routine tasks for automation.
• Define operating procedures for supporting internal customers and monitor the effectiveness of those procedures / policies.
• Provide leadership, mentor and training in management techniques, presentation of ideas and data collection when required.
• Train and educate internal and external customers on the Winbond-USA business system tools / needs e.g. quality case tracking system use, procedural execution when applicable.
• Ensure there is an objective method of measuring the performance of the manager staff and their subordinates.
• Participate in the strategic development of various processes & procedures throughout the company.
• Routinely review service trends, initiate improvement action plans based on corporate goals.
• Maintain an on-time performance attitude for the MIS department.
• Provide management consulting where applicable and ensure that all MIS members get the help needed to be successful in their jobs.
• Routinely communicate with WEC personnel for MIS and other departmental needs.
• Report operational deficiencies to executive management and recommend systematic implementation solutions.
