Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,341 per week in Roseburg, OR

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Intensive Care Unit Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS Must-Have : Acute Care, Critical Care experience Description : The unit has a total of 16 beds. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1 : 2. RNs are required to titrate drips. Common medications include Levophed, Propofol, Insulin, Dopamine, Neosynephrine, and Precedex. Charge Nurse or House Supervisor roles are available. There are no nurse aides on this unit. A hospitalist or intensivist is available in-house. Respiratory Therapy is present in the ICU 24 / 7. All necessary respiratory equipment, including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP, is available. RNs read strips as there are no monitor techs on the unit. There is a weekend requirement of working every other weekend. Holidays require working one major and one minor holiday. Staff may be placed on call for low census with a 30-minute response time. Floating may occur, ensuring contract RNs float first. Scrub colors include black, cocoa brown, charcoal grey, navy blue, and khaki. Unit-specific orientation consists of two shifts. Cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting is conducted using a specific electronic health record system.
