Job description

Position Purpose

  • This assignment will be responsible for, but not limited to, design, plan, manage, implement and evaluate occupational health, safety, environment & quality programs and other activities related to establishing robust processes to meet legal, customer & internal requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and forcing the organizational values, philosophy, mission, strategy, policies, organizational standards, over all areas of their responsibility, to achieve the vision of the company.
  • Applying the procedures in the areas under the responsibility, to ensure compliance with them.
  • To verify the execution of the system of safety and quality with the purpose that it is documented and implemented according to the normative requirements ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and VDA 6.3.
  • To verify the execution of the documentation and controls of the processes with the purpose that you / they take actions for the prevention and elimination of flaws in the processes.
  • To impart courses on the system of management for safety and quality to assure that the personnel of Schnellecke Logistics knows its structure and procedures.
  • To carry out revisions to the administrative and operative processes with the purpose to detect possible deviations and to establish the necessary controls for their eradication.
  • To update data into daily scorecard for review during management operational meetings and update data for required KPIs to monitor operational performance.
  • Tracking and reporting of customer claims.
  • Monitoring of audit results and administration of PDCA until resolved throughout sustainability.
  • Assist in accident investigation to determine root cause and corrective actions for safety incidents.
  • Create case files for worker's compensation claims and create first report of incident to occupational safety insurance adjuster.
  • Follow up on all safety near miss and injury cases.
  • Coordinate work related doctor appointments with associates.
  • Coordinate post-accident and random drug screening program.
  • Perform risk assessments to identify environmental, ergonomic, infrastructure, and operational hazards.
  • Track monthly environmental sustainability data and work with operation to develop improvement initiatives to optimize environmental consumption.
  • Requirements

    Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Quality Technician certification or equivalent work experience
  • Adequate computer and data entry skills
  • Microsoft Office experience (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc...)
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of the standards DIN EN ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 / ISO 50001
  • Experience in occupational health, safety & environmental and / or quality specialist or above level position
  • Requirements

  • Issuance of Safety Tickets as necessary
  • Maintain Safety Points tracking and coordinate safety drawings
  • Document and Data control
  • Physical Demands / Work Environment

  • Must be able to work in a plant and office environment.
  • Must be able to be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment and vibration, wet and / or humid weather conditions.
  • Exposure to occasionally loud noise levels.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. Bending and / or reaching may be required.
  • Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on Shop Floor to prevent injury to self or others.
