Job descriptionTrade school or equivalent technical training preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related maintenance role preferred. Fabricating, welding, sheet metal, and pipe fitting experience required. Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform basic mathematics. Must own a personal set of tools. Strong critical thinking skills and adaptability to evolving situations. Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) — training provided if needed. Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing machinery. Skilled in safe operation of hand and power tools. Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic. Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Ability to stand for extended periods, stoop, and bend. Lift up to 40 pounds as needed. Good manual dexterity. Vision of 20 / 40 or better (with corrective lenses if necessary). Comfortable working from ladders. Must be able to wear eye and hearing protection. Seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Southbridge, MA.
This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k! Pay is between $25 - $30 per hour (based on experience) Responsibilities :
- Respond promptly to machine failures, breakdowns, installations, and facility maintenance needs.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild major production equipment.
- Service, overhaul, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and protocols.
