This position is responsible for the accuracy of fund investment accounting records, including the maintenance of general ledgers and production of financials reports. Investments include joint venture and special purpose entities related to commercial real estate assets. This position directly manages the fund accounting team and outsourced fund accounting relationships. We are looking for a professional individual with the ability to perform independently as well as work collaboratively as part of a team.Essential Job FunctionsOversee the daily and monthly fund accounting activities related to investors, investment funds, and investments in real estate assetsPrepare capital allocation schedules (e.g., capital calls and distributions) for all partners and fundsOversee consolidation entries, verify the company's equity in earnings, and record minority interest positions in investment subsidiariesWork collaboratively with the platform's Corporate Accounting team to ensure accuracy of equity activity, returns, and other matters as they impact the Company's consolidated resultsDocument and maintain internal controls & accounting policies / procedures with regards to Fund and GL accountingManage the Fund accounting team, providing effective guidance, motivation, and management on a daily basisTrack and oversee reporting on Loan and Lender Compliance for all InvestmentsOversee annual fund auditsCollaborate with and support tax department with regards to tax estimates & filingsSpecial projects, as neededEducation and Experience Requested7+ years progressive accounting experience, including a track record of successful team managementCommercial real estate accounting experience preferredBig 4 Accounting Firm or investment management firm experience preferredMust be well organized, detail oriented, have good writing and other communication skillsMust have the ability to prioritize projects, workflows and schedules and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyMust have the ability to interpret complex legal documentation, particularly as it applies to maintaining partner capital accountsDegree in Accounting / Finance required; CPA, MBA, or similar professional designation strongly preferred Foundry Commercial is an Equal Opportunity EmployerFoundry Commercial is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
