Staff Accountant

Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting department in various accounting tasks, including the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports, performing reconciliations, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. This role requires a high level of accuracy, integrity, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including verifying, coding, and posting invoices and payments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash balances.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards (GAAP / IFRS), and relevant regulations.
• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
