Job description

Position Summary :

The Foundation School for Autism Plano is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) or LSSP (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology) to support our growing ECSE1st grade autism program. This individual will serve as both a behavioral intervention leader and an instructional partner working directly in classrooms to support teachers students and staff in developing and implementing effective data-driven interventions. As our campus continues to expand in response to community demand this specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring student success program consistency and high-quality behavioral support. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in the daily rhythm of the school environmentengaging directly with students during instructional and behavioral moments modeling strategies for staff coaching in real time analyzing data designing visuals and systems and helping create sustainable student-centered practices that lead to meaningful growth.

Key Responsibilities :

Assessment Data and Compliance :

Conduct FBAs behavioral evaluations and psychological assessments consistent with credentials

Support REEDs reevaluations and IEP goal development aligned with functional and behavioral needs

Develop measurable behavior goals and data systems reviewing progress regularly with staff

Translate data findings into practical classroom-ready action steps

Hands-On Behavioral and Instructional Support :

Work directly with students during instructional and behavioral moments

Model intervention strategies de-escalation techniques structured routines and reinforcement systems

Develop and implement individualized BIPs and crisis prevention strategies

Support generalization of functional communication regulation and adaptive skills

Intervention Design and Implementation :

Create visuals social narratives structured task systems token boards and regulation tools in collaboration with teaching staff

Ensure materials align with IEP goals behavioral needs and instructional expectations

Monitor fidelity of implementation and adjust interventions as needed

Staff Training Coaching and Capacity Building :

Lead professional development on autism supports visual systems ABA-based strategies and crisis prevention

Provide in-the-moment coaching and structured feedback to staff

Collaborate with leadership to support consistent Tier 1 behavior practices

Collaboration and Family Partnership :

Participate in ARD meetings parent consultations and home generalization planning when appropriate

Work closely with the Campus Director and teachers / staff to align behavioral and instructional supports

Foster a proactive student-centered intervention culture across the campus

Qualifications :

BCBA certification and Texas LBA licensure or Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)

Strong background in autism intervention FBA processes and early childhood behavior support

Experience working directly with students in school or clinical environments

Proficiency with ABA-informed strategies structured teaching visual supports and positive behavior systems

Ability to train model and build capacity in staff

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in ECSE self-contained autism or early elementary life skills programs

Familiarity with AAC and structured communication systems for minimally verbal students

Experience building staff capacity through modeling and professional learning
