Shipping Clerk

Neogen is looking for a full-time Shipping Clerk to join our fast-paced Mount Sterling team. Our shipping clerk will use RF Scanners and multiple types of material handling equipment to effectively pick and pack orders, insuring accuracy for our customers. We offer a first-shift, team environment, ongoing training and full benefits to all of our shipping team members. Due to the physicality of the position, candidates should be comfortable in hot and cold environments, have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, and be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Shift : 1st Shift

Shipping (80% Time) :

• Pull orders, screen for accuracy prior to pulling inventory.
• Must be able to operate scanning equipment proficiently.
• Proficient with pulling small parcel and truck orders in a timely and economical fashion according to written procedure.
• Manage shipping expenses to minimize packaging costs while ensuring good customer presentation.
• Shipping clerks are responsible for pulling packaging slip and placing with pulled inventory prior to quality check.
• Identify process improvements that will lead to greater efficiencies in the shipping operations.
