Job descriptionDeliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with an emphasis on geriatric care Serve as the sole provider in the clinic, managing a broad spectrum of primary care cases Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and manage ongoing treatment Coordinate patient care, including preventive services and chronic disease management Perform documentation and administrative responsibilities as assigned Must hold an active Physician Assistant license in Maine Required board certification in Family Medicine Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required Significant experience in primary care and geriatric medicine is essential; new graduates will not be considered Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Maine, starting Feb 2, 2026. This solo provider opportunity involves primary care for all ages with a strong focus on geriatrics, Monday through Friday day shifts, including dedicated administrative time on Thursday afternoons.
