JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Massachusetts Medical License (preferred, not required)

Board : BC / BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology

DEA : Active DEA Certification

Certifications : BLS, ACLS (preferred)

Experience : Recent inpatient obstetrics experience required

Other Qualifications : Commitment to health equity and quality improvement; fluency in Spanish or other languages preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage labor and delivery patients, including monitoring and delivery assistance

Respond to obstetric emergencies promptly

Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries as required

Provide postpartum inpatient care

Collaborate with midwives and family medicine teams for consults and coordinated care

Maintain thorough and accurate medical documentation

Mentor and educate residents, fellows, and medical students

Promote shared decision-making and patient education

Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Academic appointment available at Boston University School of Medicine (rank commensurate with experience)
