Role : Physician Assistant – Emergency Medicine

Location : Elkader, IA

Pay Rate : $140 / hour

Shift Type : Days / Nights (multiple 24–48 hr shifts)

Providers Needed : 1

EMR : EPIC

Start / End : Ongoing PRN coverage

📅 Coverage Dates Available

Extensive options from Dec 2025 through May 2026 , including nights, weekends, and holiday coverage.

🏥 Job Responsibilities

Serve as the sole provider covering both Emergency Department and Med / Surg

Inpatient responsibilities required

No outreach and no telehealth

Support staff includes :

2 RNs

1 Paramedic

Occasional CNA / NPN support

Patient Volumes :

ER : avg. 3.6 patients / day

Med / Surg : avg. 1.4 patients / day

Procedures : Emergency care, inpatient care, skilled care

Temp privileges available (no emergency privileges)
