THE OPPORTUNITY
StaffMed Health Partners is recruiting a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a well-established practice in Hilo, Hawaii the Big Island's largest city. This is a bread-and-butter general GI practice with an adjacent ambulatory surgery center, strong community demand, and the chance to be the sole full-time physician gastroenterologist for the region. Advanced procedures are welcomed but not required this role lets you build a deeply rewarding clinical practice in one of the most stunning settings in American medicine.

PRACTICE DETAILS
• Employed position with competitive compensation ($550,000 $700,000)
• Full-time or part-time options available
• General gastroenterology bread-and-butter GI
• Adjacent ambulatory surgery center (ASC)
• Solo full-time MD gastroenterologist for the practice
• Established referral base with strong community demand
• Advanced procedures welcomed but not required

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Salary range: $550,000 $700,000

REQUIREMENTS
• MD or DO from accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Hawaii medical license or eligibility to obtain

THE LOCATION Hilo, Hawaii
Hilo is the Big Island's authentic heart a lush, tropical town where rainforests meet the Pacific, waterfalls cascade into emerald pools, and the pace of life invites you to breathe. Unlike the resort-driven west side, Hilo offers genuine Hawaiian community: the historic Hilo Farmers Market (one of the best in the state), a vibrant local arts scene, and neighborhoods where neighbors still bring you fruit from their trees. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park home to Kilauea is 45 minutes south. Mauna Kea's summit observatories are in your backyard. Snorkeling, surfing, and deep-sea fishing are weekend staples. The cost of living is higher than the mainland but offset by the salary premium, no-commute lifestyle, and the simple fact that you're living in paradise. Hilo International Airport offers direct flights to Honolulu and the mainland.
