Job Description
The contractor will provide strategic policy insights and analysis for a range of payment policy issues. The contractor will also support overall team operations and processes, as needed.
- Advance policy priorities across a range of topics, including but not limited to real‑time payments and digital infrastructure.
- Engage with key business leaders to understand business drivers and help tailor policy approaches.
- Support government delegation visits to the Market Support Center in San Francisco and other sites as required.
- Monitor payments‑related public policy developments across markets and identify emerging policy trends, analyse their impacts to clients, and work with cross‑functional teams to develop a strategic response to emerging policy threats and opportunities.
- Write and / or support development of public policy position papers.
- Support local and regional business executives and regional colleagues with specific requests for information, advice, industry data, as needed.
Basic Qualifications
5 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s / MBA / JD / MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred
6 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD.Demonstrated experience in payments regulation and policy, with a focus on policy analysis or strategy development in the financial sector or other regulated industry.Strong understanding of the payments business desired.Ability to work closely with business and communication functions, receive input, collaborate on aligning a learning strategy, prioritize projects and products based on business objectives and ROI methodology.Demonstrated experience leading projects and building collaborative relationships with cross‑functional internal teams.Proven experience managing multiple complex issues related to payments policy and delivering consistently excellent work products on deadline.Demonstrated experience working with and managing outside consultants, industry associations and / or academic partners to implement and amplify policy messages and regulatory strategies.Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate business priorities into specific public policy recommendations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
