WFAA-TV Dallas , the TEGNA-owned ABC affiliate in Dallas , is seeking a full-time Video Editor to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in creating engaging content for television, social media, and mobile platforms. Must be a self-starter, technologically savvy, and capable of working under tight deadlines. We seek individuals with a keen artistic eye, strong editing and photography skills, and a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Create content for newscasts and digital platforms using editing tools.
  • Enhance stories with graphics and new media forms such as viewer pictures and webcam interviews.
  • Collaborate closely with news producers, reporters, photojournalists, and the digital team.

Requirements

  • BA / BS degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of non-linear editing systems like Edius, Premiere, and Photoshop.
  • Interest in broadcast and digital news.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.
