- Position : Parking Enforcement Officer
- Location : City of Santa Ana
- Pay Rate : $26.00 / hour (Full-time Rate)
- Schedule : Full-time : Sunday-Thursday from 4 : 30a AM to 1 : 00 PM (days and hours worked are not guaranteed and are subject to change based on the enforcement needs of the City of Santa Ana)
- Requirements :
Driver's license is required, minimum of 2 years
Guard Card - reimbursement up to $200 after the first 60 days and in good standingMust be at least 21 years oldMust join Teamsters Local 911 UnionUnion Membership :Dues : Union dues for full-time members are as follows : $36 monthly dues with $150 initiation fee, taken in increments of $25 per month until the full amount is paid.
The Spirit of the Position :
The Parking Enforcement Officer will be an ambassador by providing information and directions to those needing assistance in finding City / County services as well as popular areas of entertainment and dining within the City.
Principal Job Duties :
Patrol assigned areas on foot and / or in a vehicle to enforce parking regulations in the City of Santa Ana pursuant to the Santa Ana Municipal Code and the California Vehicle Code.Issue handwritten and computer-generated parking citations and transfer citation data to centralized system.Maintain a high public visibility and have constant interaction with the public.Regularly communicate general information regarding citation issuance, parking regulations, citation adjudicationAdhere to all policies, procedures, and directives of LAZ Parking and the City of Satna Ana.Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Work under general supervision and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.Parking enforcement officers must :
Be at least 21 years of ageSubmit to a drug screenLAZ Parking and the City of Santa Ana are drug free work environments, this includes the use of medical and recreational marijuana and prescription medication not prescribed to the applicant).Possess a valid California driver licenseHave or obtain at their own cost a California Guard CardWill be reimbursed for the up to $200 within after the first 60 days and in good standing upon submitting receipts.Join Teamsters Local 911 UnionFluently read, write, and speak the English languagePossess a high school diploma or equivalentApplicants must be :
