Experience Required : 2+ years Med Surg nursing

Certifications Required :

ACLS, BLS

Preferred : PALS

Unit / Setting : General Medical-Surgical Inpatient Nursing

Patient Ratio : 1 : 6

Unit Beds : 42

EMR : MedHost

Job Summary :

The RN is responsible for providing safe, patient-centered care on a Medical-Surgical inpatient unit. Duties include :

Utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy

Performing thorough assessments and documenting patient care accurately

Administering medications and monitoring for side effects

Floating as needed to other units while maintaining standards of care

Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
