Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $1,879 per week in Fort Worth, TX

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession : RN Specialty : OR Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Varied Hours per Shift : 12 hours (6 : 30 AM - 7 : 00 PM) Experience : Minimum 2 years in an acute care setting with strong neuro experience License : Active RN License required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH required Must-Have : Candidates without the following skills will not be considered for the role : OR experience in a hospital setting Neurosurgery experience 2 years of hospital / specialty experience Description : Strong neuro experience is a must. Shift details are 6 : 30 AM - 7 PM. For call, it is one weekday per week and one weekend per month. Weekend call is 24 hours, starting Friday at 3 PM until Monday at 7 AM. The unit includes a total of 17 beds. It consists of CVOR and Transplant. The patient ratio for OR nursing is 1 : 1. The unit is staffed with 1-2 Surgical Techs per case. Type of equipment used includes Davinci XI, Globus, Mako, microscopes, and other usual OR equipment. Documentation is conducted using Meditech. Floating policy is as needed. Preferred skills include robotic experience and Meditech experience. Procedures performed include high volumes of General and Neuro surgery including Crani, Ortho, Robotic, some Urology and Plastic, as well as Heart and Transplants. Candidates must be friendly and compassionate with patients. Scrubs will be provided by the facility. Nail policy requires clean and healthy nails, with no gel or artificial nails beyond fingertip length. Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Facial hair should be clean and neatly trimmed. Tattoos should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited. Floating guidelines and attendance policies apply.
