Imaging Associates is a premier outpatient imaging center and teleradiology practice with locations in Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer, Alaska, dedicated to providing exceptional diagnostic services through state-of-the-art technology. Our IT-centric operations rely on a sophisticated infrastructure, including PACS, RIS, and robust network systems, to deliver seamless service to patients and providers. We are seeking an IT Operations Coordinator to enhance our IT team's efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure compliance, supporting our commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of IT, the IT Operations Coordinator will optimize IT operations through project management, administrative support, and workflow analysis. This role will manage IT projects, assist with administrative tasks, drive process improvements using Six Sigma methodologies, and support audits and compliance with SOC2 and HIPAA standards. By bridging technical, operational, and clinical workflows, the IT Operations Coordinator will enable our PACS and network / system administrators to focus on critical technical tasks, ensuring system reliability and regulatory adherence. This is an in-person position only, with no remote option, and may require rotation between our sites in Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer.

Requirements
IT Project Management (40%)
- Lead IT projects, including PACS / RIS upgrades, infrastructure expansions, and compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA audits).
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, coordinating with vendors, clinical staff (e.g., radiologists, technologists), and IT team members across all sites.
- Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication to align project outcomes with organizational objectives.
IT Administrative Support (30%)
Assist the Director of IT with purchasing, inventory management, and asset allocation for IT equipment (e.g., servers, workstations) and software across Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer sites.Manage scheduling, meeting facilitation, and note-taking for IT team meetings and vendor discussions.Oversee ticket dispatch, escalation, and vendor coordination using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).Support audits by preparing documentation, coordinating with auditors, and tracking compliance requirements for SOC2 and HIPAA.Handle administrative tasks, such as contract tracking, compliance documentation, and vendor escalations, to streamline IT operations.Documentation and Workflow Analysis (30%)
Review and document IT workflows (e.g., PACS image transfers, teleradiology protocols, network maintenance) to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with SOC2 and HIPAA standards across all sites.Analyze processes using Six Sigma methodologies to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements, enhancing system performance and regulatory adherence.Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to accelerate onboarding, training, and audit readiness.Collaborate with PACS and network administrators to optimize workflows, supporting efficient clinical-IT integration.
Requirements
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.Experience :
Minimum 2 years of experience in IT operations, project coordination, or process improvement, preferably in healthcare IT.Familiarity with IT systems (e.g., PACS, RIS, networking) and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) or willingness to learn.Preferred : Experience with healthcare integration standards (e.g., HL7, DICOM) and imaging / teleradiology systems.Preferred : Experience supporting audits and compliance with SOC2 and HIPAA standards.Preferred : Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.Preferred : Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.Technical Skills :
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).Preferred : Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com) and documentation software.Other Qualifications :
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clinical staff, vendors, auditors, and IT team members.Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.Ability to work flexible shifts, participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency support, and travel between Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer sites as needed.Must demonstrate integrity, treat people with respect, keep commitments, and uphold Imaging Associates' values.Physical Demands :
