Night shifts, available in both 8- and 12-hour durations.
Rotating weekends and holiday coverage.

Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you will care for a diverse patient population with complex needs, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for various procedures.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Patients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.High volumes of cervical and spinal surgery cases.As a member of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you will have the opportunity to work with the latest neurosurgical techniques.

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care tailored to individual needs, incorporating patient and family input.Recognize and respond to significant changes in patient condition, coordinating care with others.Enhance patient safety by implementing strategies to reduce risks and educating patients and families.Effectively manage discharge planning in collaboration with the care team, using evidence-based practices.Engage in quality improvement initiatives that enhance departmental functions and patient experiences.Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team, assuming a leadership role when necessary.Embrace a culture of safety by identifying threats and implementing corrective actions.Take part in professional development activities and attend essential meetings in a timely manner.Ensure provision of care appropriate to the age of the patient served, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Education Required :
Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.Experience Required :
Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
