Job description

Job Title : Construction Project Manager

Location : Projects across the DFW Metroplex and surrounding areas

Status : Full-Time | Exempt

Position Overview

CAET Construction is a small but growing commercial general contractor seeking a highly motivated Construction Project Manager to lead our operations team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, relationship-driven individual with an ownership mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of multiple projects, from pre-construction through closeout, while cultivating relationships and new business opportunities to support company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning in coordination with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource planning
  • Oversee bidding processes and evaluate subcontractor proposals
  • Supervise and mentor field and office teams, ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor safety, quality control, and performance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, RFIs, change orders, and financial reports
  • Hold weekly progress meetings and address issues with proactive solutions
  • Foster strong client relationships to promote repeat business and satisfaction
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the construction process

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Construction Management or related field, preferred
  • 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction (or 8–10 years relevant experience)
  • Strong understanding of construction safety, scheduling, forecasting, and field execution
  • Skilled communicator with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project
  • OSHA 10 certification required (30 preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability for regular travel to project sites
