Allied Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Special Procedures Tech - Radiology

Job Details :

  • Work day shifts with 8 or 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday
  • Rotating call and weekend call responsibilities required
  • Must have 1 year interventional radiology procedure nursing experience including sedation experience
  • Required certifications : ACLS, PALS
  • Work in various radiology modalities throughout the day including Interventional Radiology, CT suite, and diagnostic radiology
  • Patient ratios of 1 : 1 during procedures and 3-4 patients in holding room dependent upon acuity
  • Provide safe quality care to inpatient and outpatients across all age groups within imaging environment
  • Administer sedation / analgesia and monitor patient response under physician direction
  • Perform continuous cardiac monitoring, vital sign monitoring, and ETCO2 monitoring
  • Manage contrast administration and identify / treat contrast reactions and extravasations
  • Provide IV access and care for various venous access devices
  • Document using Maclab documentation system and paper charting with Meditech EMR
  • Handle typical procedures including kyphoplasty, Y-90, peripheral interventions, stroke and trauma cases, diagnostic cerebral cases, drain placements, biopsies, thrombolysis cases, and neuro coiling cases
  • Must be flexible with change and maintain positive outlook

    This healthcare facility features a comprehensive imaging services department with state-of-the-art interventional radiology capabilities. The facility includes a 5-bay holding room, 3-room IR suite, and 3-room CT suite, providing advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures. The organization maintains a collaborative environment with experienced medical, technical, and support staff, emphasizing safe quality patient care across all imaging modalities including MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, and interventional radiology.
