Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Shelby, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing general accounting functions across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This position requires excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

Manage and execute general accounting tasks across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Participate in the monthly financial close process, adhering to established reporting guidelines.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including intercompany transactions, expense transfers, and accruals.

Perform bank reconciliations, trend analyses, and department expense research to ensure accurate financial records.

Prepare and post journal entries with detailed supporting documentation.

Conduct variance analyses to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights to management.

Collaborate with operational teams to support timely and precise financial reporting.

Assist with accounting activities related to mergers and acquisitions, including integration processes.

Contribute to special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as needed.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial reporting standards.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.

Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience with attention to detail.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as Pivot Tables, V / H-Lookups, and Sum-ifs.

In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced setting.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in delivering high-quality results.
