Job Summary and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES1. Provides assessment, teaching and follow-up instruction to a specific patient population and Provides guidance tomanagement, staff and physicians2. Identifies needs, plans and implements educational programs within specialty areas for staff, patients,and / or community. Actively Participates in Nursing and Patient Education Department activities3. Serves in a consultative role to staff, management and health professionals in the hospital and community withfocus on quality and cost containment4. Disseminates and conducts nursing research5. Serves as leader in the development and attainment of organizational goals6. Demonstrates professional practice by serving as a liaison among the program staff, advisorycommittee and facility administration7. Defines, refines, re-focuses role in relation to nursing and organizational needs8. Role models positive guest relations and collaborative practice9. Is self-directed in fostering personal expertise and future professional development
