Job Summary

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Project Engineer level II for our Bridgeton, MO facility. As a Project Engineer level II at Leonardo DRS Land Systems, you will be responsible for leading all engineering efforts for a project or projects on time and budget. A successful candidate will be a resourceful and self-motivated individual and will have a proven track record of effectively leading multi-disciplined engineering teams on both small and large projects. As Project Engineer, you will serve as the interface between the engineering technical team and other departments within the organization, including Program Management, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. Responsibilities are complex in scope and will require an individual to act independently to manage multiple assignments.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading all engineering efforts for a project or projects on time and budget
• Ensure design compliance with all project requirements
• Review customer specifications and requirements, and lead a project team to develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
• Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
• Communicate clearly (written and oral) with manufacturing, supply chain, program management and the customer as required
• Participate heavily in preparation of the more complex and significant proposals
• Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians and support personnel to coordinate, recommend and confer regarding technical activities and progress
• Lead project team(s) as assigned
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required.

The salary range for this position is $113,740.00 / year- $153,549.00 / year for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to : Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education / training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for : annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
