HYBRID : Qualified candidates residing within a 180-mile radius of Los Altos, CA will be classified as a Hybrid employee. In a hybrid work arrangement, you will be able to work remotely, with in-person expectations (once per week, may change as business needs evolve in future ).

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Scouting Manager for State Farm's Silicon Valley-based Scouting team. This individual will successfully identify and evaluate relevant, compelling early-stage companies, then work with State Farm Ventures and other internal stakeholders across our organization to refer the most promising of these companies. This is a fast-paced, strategic role that involves working with many cutting-edge startups, VC firms, accelerators, and the broader start-up ecosystem.

A Day In The Life Of A Scouting Manager :

The Silicon Valley-based Scouting Manager is responsible for identifying and working with a network of exciting startups, top-tier established organizations, as well as venture capitalists, incubators / accelerators, and premier educational institutions to identify emerging technologies, products, services, and solutions for State Farm and our customers

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38 : 45-hour work week!

Potential starting salary range : $160,000 - $220,000. Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience. High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience and certain geographical locations.

Potential yearly incentive pay up to 18% of base salary
