About The Position

Job Title : CVOR Tech

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience :

Minimum two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required.

License :

Must possess a current surgical technologist license.

Certifications :

BLS certification through the American Heart Association only.

Must-Have :

Experience with cardiac procedures, ECMO, transplant cases, endovascular surgeries, laparoscopic cases, and trauma.

Description :

The Surgical Technologist prepares the operating room prior to surgery.

The role promotes the safety of the patient during surgery.

The position provides assistance to the surgeon during surgery.

The Surgical Technologist cares for the patient during surgery and manages the instruments and supplies used.

They function as a member of the surgical team to ensure patient safety.

The incumbent possesses knowledge and skills required to assist in caring for patients of all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Floating may be required based on staffing needs.

Flexibility to work in multiple units during the assignment is needed.

The daily census and patient diagnoses may vary, including emergency cases.

The Surgical Technologist must be able to handle a variety of special procedures as needed.

Competency in telemetry is required, and passing an exam will be necessary prior to starting the position.
