Position Overview :

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the finance and operational teams across multiple sites within the Boston Complex. This role will be critical in managing financial processes, reporting, and analysis to help drive business decisions and operational excellence. The individual will work closely with both the finance and operations leadership teams to ensure accurate reporting, support costing activities, and maintain effective financial controls. The ideal candidate should have previous experience in finance or accounting within a business environment, strong reporting and analytical skills, and a solid understanding of operational finance. High attention to detail, excellent time management, and strong collaboration skills are key to success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manage New Item Form Setup (NIF) processes across sites.
  • Manage and record inventory adjustments across sites.
  • Generate and analyze weekly variance reports.
  • Prepare GL summary reports.
  • Update and maintain operational spend reports.
  • Produce labor reporting and analysis.
  • Manage Weekly Operating Report (WOR) processes.
  • Manage with customer true-ups for major accounts
  • Review and set up Bills of Materials (BOMs), including reviewing specifications, BOM rollups, pricing files, and cost activations.
  • Monitor and track Accounts Receivable balances.
  • Review and analyze sales and margin reporting
  • Manage the financial closure of production orders.
  • Provide backup to Plant Controller on month-end close activities.
  • Assist with customer pricing activities, including setup of expanded BOM files and costing file reviews.
  • Perform cost and overhead spend analysis.
  • Produce IDL hourly reporting for the complex.
  • Review and code vendor invoices as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have the following :

Education and Experience :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required
  • Preferred Experience : Three or more years of financial or accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or operational finance environment. Prior ERP system experience is a plus.
  • Competencies and Skills :

  • Strong understanding of financial processes and operational finance.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience in financial reporting and financial statement analysis.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and the ability to work within an ERP system.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and drive results.
  • Physical Demands :

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
  • Ability to move about the facility on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting items of up to 20 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking.
