Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

Location : Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York nursing jobs) – Experience the charm of Ithaca, with its stunning natural landscapes, outdoor recreation, and cultural attractions.

Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Services – Stepdown Unit

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : December 2, 2024

End Date : March 3, 2025

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Variable, 4x10 hour shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2,330 - $2,500

EMR Technology : EPIC experience preferred

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or acute care nursing

BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)

EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a clinical healthcare setting

Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in cardiac patient conditions

Administer medications, cardiac treatments, and interventions as prescribed

Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR (preferred)

Educate patients and families on cardiac health, procedures, and post-discharge care
