The Marketing Operations Manager works closely with the VP of Marketing and the rest of the marketing leadership team to serve the department's operational needs. The marketing operations manager will be involved in the everyday operational tasks required to run an effective team. This individual will play a critical role in demystifying the return on investment of the various initiatives employed in ensuring Canvas becomes a household name in the communities we serve. This role helps bring to life our creative and media team's work through operational excellence and surgical execution. This person helps build the infrastructure to make the Canvas agency scalable while ensuring time and space for creativity are protected.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Manage the development and implementation of processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure, and technology that will support and improve the operations of Canvas' marketing team.Suggest, design, and implement processes that increase the internal and interdepartmental efficiencies of the marketing team.Create, maintain, and store all relevant templatized reports for all marketing activities to be shared internally and with Canvas' senior leadership.Coordinate the launch and execution of new and existing projects within the marketing portfolio.Maintain and provide real-time updates to projects progress.Serve the role of liaison between the marketing team and the Project Management Office (PMO).In conjunction with marketing leadership, assess and forecast the marketing team's capacity while establishing and prioritizing tasks for weekly sprints.As appropriate and with the buy-in of the leadership team, identify, recommend and lead the implementation of improvement opportunities, including directing cross-functional implementation teams, that will increase the overall effectiveness of Canvas' internal creative agency.Assist in directing organization-wide efforts to manage and allocate marketing resources - investment and people effectively.Creates communication tools to elevate marketing reporting both to the executive team and across the organization.Participate and contribute to the creative content process that displays the company's brand, mission, products, and services.Contribute to the development of a marketing infrastructure that supports the execution of department strategies and tactics.Work closely with leadership to ensure marketing is strategically aligned with other departments, product owners, and managers. Connect, communicate and stay in tune with these groups, establish a knowledge base of these groups and share insights with the marketing team.Develop and improve marketing processes to ensure consistent messaging and adherence to brand standards.Assist in identifying changes in the marketing environment or competitive strategies that would impact the current marketing plan.Develop a collaborative culture with staff to ensure that the credit union maximizes creative marketing efforts. Provide periodic updates on the progress of marketing promotions and campaigns.Comply with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other compliance requests and requirements.Keep informed on community outreach developments and trends, new services, and technological advances.Responsible for all management functions including hiring, training, conducting monthly one-on-ones, performance management, conflict resolution, scheduling, cross-training and succession planning, timekeeping, etc.Follow all safety and security guidelines to safeguard member and organization assets adequately.Embrace ongoing education and learn / apply new skills and software applications.Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.Perform other job duties as assignedPre-employment background review (components include criminal, employment, address, social security number, motor vehicle record, global sanctions, and sex offender).Job Qualifications
Knowledge, Skill and Ability :
Track record of coaching a team through the implementation of efficiency-oriented activities and operational integrity.Strong people management skills; able to build and foster teamwork and influence others without direct authority.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; communicates effectively with all levels of management and staff, board of directors, community and business leaders, and external groups and individuals.Possess strong skills in data analysis, reporting and a keen eye to understand the team's capacity for delivering our projects on time and scope expectations.Demonstrated track record of designing social media and digital marketing goals and action plans and ensuring successful execution.Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills to develop and maintain consultative relationships with internal and external entities.Superior attention to detail and strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Demonstrated creativity and ability to think out of the box and drive change.Proven ability to develop and implement corporate strategic initiatives and projects on time and within budget.Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).Ability to maintain confidential information.Education or Formal Training : Bachelor's degree in marketing, operations, project management, or equivalent experience.
Experience : Minimum of three years in operations or a project management role, with a minimum of one year in leadership.

Working Environment / Physical Activities
High volume, fast-paced, dynamic office environment with some travel. Must be able to attend meetings and events outside of regular business hours. The job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, fax machines and filing cabinets. The position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets. The position requires bending, stooping, or standing as necessary.
