About the Role :

The Baler Operator is responsible for machinery that compresses and binds recyclable materials into bales for easy storage and transportation. This position requires the operator to monitor the machines performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and safety standards are met. The Baler Operator is responsible for conducting basic preventative maintenance and inspections of the machine ensuring it is in proper working order.

• Monitor the flow of materials ensuring they are loaded correctly into the baler
• Performs duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local state and federal regulations and company policies.
• Operates industrial balers and automated bunker system in the recycling plant.
• Performs all assigned basic preventative maintenance on industrial balers and associated equipment.
• Makes minor repairs and adjustments to industrialbalersand associated equipment.
• Operates computer controlled automated bunker system.
• Properlyutilizebalers and bunkers to ensure single stream processing is not interrupted.
• Responsible for housekeeping in assigned area including equipment and work areas.
• Maintaintimelyappropriate and professional communications with plan operations maintenance department and balersupervisor.
• Provide daily baler production reports to plan operations.

Pay Rate : $20.00 Hourly
