• The Ideal Candidate  The City of Weatherford's Director of Finance should be a strategic financial leader with extensive governmental accounting experience, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the vision to modernize finance operations while maintaining fiscal integrity.

The Director of Finance must possess certain traits that are essential to success :

Education & Experience  Required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or Business Administration from an accredited institution Ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in governmental or public sector finance Three (3) years management or supervisory experience Valid Texas Driver's License with driving record meeting City guidelines Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field CPA designation or GFOA certifications - CGFO and / or CPFO (or ability to obtain within two years) Public accounting or audit experience including Single Audit and GASB compliance Tyler Munis ERP experience with system administration capabilities Utility financial management including rate studies and regulatory compliance Debt issuance and investment management experience To Apply :
