Contract Duration : 13-week travel nurse contract

Shift : Night Shift (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am)

Shift Length : 12 hours

Hours per Week : 36 (3x12 hour shifts)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2000 - $2050

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

BLS certification (American Heart Association) required

Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (Oncology or Medical-Surgical nursing preferred)

Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient care skills

Oncology RN Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology and medical-surgical patients

Perform head-to-toe assessments, start IVs, insert NG tubes, change dressings, administer medications, and insert Foley catheters

Access and maintain Mediports throughout the shift

Assist with bedside bone marrow aspirations

Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy to oncology patients in the unit and throughout the hospital

Deliver outpatient oncology treatments when the Outpatient Cancer Center is closed

Maintain accurate, up-to-date nursing documentation

Develop, implement, and modify individualized patient care plans

Offer emotional support to patients and families

Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing clinical hazards

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members and participate in ongoing professional development
