GENERAL SUMMARY :
The Manager of Expanded Learning is a dual role, with both org-wide and regional responsibilities. The org-wide focus of this role is to create and oversee support structures that ensure the program's operational and fiscal success. In addition, this role will support regionally with localized support, specifically in the areas of Program Design & Culture, Talent Management & Development, Strategic Planning, and Systems & Administration.
Success in this position requires an adaptive and collaborative approach to leadership, experience running a strategic planning process from start to finish, facility with coaching and developing adults, and a commitment to high quality programming for adults and students alike.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Program
- Org-wide :
- Set regulatory guardrails for Expanded Learning program across all 3 regions
- Create standard template for the Expanded Learning handbook, which regional Expanded Learning teammates will adapt to their regional needs
- Regional :
- Make programmatic decisions based on regional and local needs that align to and integrate with Aspire-wide and regional goals, priorities, and guardrails
- Adapt the ExL handbook to meet local context
- Cultivate and maintain external community partnerships to enhance academic and enrichment offerings
- Proactively identify cross-regional opportunities for collaboration to ensure alignment of instructional program initiatives and goals
- Collaborate with regional content experts to develop and deliver training that is aligned with Aspire instructional strategies; coordinate training across region to ensure consistency and equity for all ExL employees
Evaluation, Reporting, & Compliance
Org-wideAccountability and oversight for grant reporting, expenditures, tracking, attendance, and auditsHold Regional After School Directors accountable for accurate attendance trackingResearch and pursue new grant opportunities, in collaboration with Aspire's Advancement teamIn collaboration with regional leaders, liaise with county and state departments of education to ensure grant complianceRegionalLead the region's annual Program Quality Audit (PQA) to assess program quality across sitesLiaise with county and state departments of education to manage relevant grants and ensure regional compliance with grant requirementsEnsure collection and reporting of attendance and other data needed for complianceTalent Development
Org-wideProvide thought-partnership, guidance, and support to Regional ExL teammatesCodify and disseminate best practices and lessons learned to improve the performance of the teamRegionalIn collaboration with regional leaders, build out and oversee professional development strategy for Regional After School Directors, with specific focus on equity, diversity, and inclusionSupport talent development strategy to strengthen pipeline of ExL teammates into teacher and leadership opportunitiesProvide direct coaching, guidance, support, and leadership to After School DirectorsAdditional :

Experience required :
Prior experience working as an After School Programs DirectorPreferred but not required - prior experience working as a teacherPhysical requirements :
