Role Responsibilities :

• Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient surgical area, using aseptic techniques for optimal patient care.
• Prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for various surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, holding retractors, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Set up and clean operating rooms, moving and returning equipment as needed.
• Function as a Second Assistant as necessary.
• Transport patients and supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain specialty carts to ensure equipment availability and functionality.
• Understand age-specific needs for the diverse patient population.

Qualifications :

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (must be obtained within 6 months).
• No prior experience required.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift and carry specified weights and push / pull using reasonable force.
• Requires functional vision and hearing, as well as the ability to wear necessary safety gear.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform tasks for the duration of the shift in a fast-paced environment.
