Endoscopy Technician Job Details

Location : Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare job)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (July 14, 2025 – October 13, 2025)

Healthcare Setting : Hospital – Endoscopy Unit

Shift : Day shifts, 4x10 hour shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1130 - $1210

Call Requirements : Maximum overnight weekday call once a week; maximum weekend call (Friday night, Saturday & Sunday) once a month

Employment Type : Travel healthcare assignment

Endoscopy Technician Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician or Gastroenterology Technician

SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) certification required

Ability to fulfill call requirements (overnight weekday and occasional weekend)

Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a clinical setting

Current eligibility to work in the United States (U.S. healthcare jobs)

Key Responsibilities

Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic and gastroenterology procedures

Prepare, clean, and maintain endoscopy equipment and procedure rooms

Ensure proper sterilization and handling of medical instruments

Monitor and support patient safety and comfort throughout procedures

Respond to scheduled call requirements as needed

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital protocols
