About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Cloud Engineering to lead strategic initiatives in the development of reliable, scalable, and modern cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with executive leadership to define technical direction and engineering culture, as well as managing and scaling a high-performing cloud / platform organization. Key duties include driving the modernization of legacy systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and optimizing AWS environments for cost efficiency and performance. The role also involves developing and enforcing SLOs, leading incident management processes, and standardizing Kubernetes services stack. The VP will be expected to foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within the engineering team. Applicants for the VP of Cloud Engineering position at the company should have a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within Infra / Platform / DevOps teams. Expertise in AWS environments, Kubernetes, and Terraform is essential, as is a proven track record in incident management and SLO ownership. Strong CI / CD automation skills and experience with compliance standards such as PCI and SOC 2 are required. Familiarity with Ruby and Go programming languages is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to scale engineering teams, foster a high-performance culture, and possess strong analytical and decision-making skills for cost and performance optimization.
