We are hiring a Sr. Financial Analyst at our Marshall, MN or Bloomington, MN corporate locations! In this role you will conduct and document complex financial analysis projects within Logistics and Supply Chain. Beyond select technical skills, we are seeking a proactive and analytical problem-solver who can handle complex ad-hoc requests with minimal supervision. You will ideally have a deep expertise in transforming raw data from various sources into clear, actionable insights for management. At this time, we are only considering candidates local to the Marshall or Minneapolis / St. Paul general vicinity.

Responsibilities :

• Data Analysis & Transformation : Transforming financial and operational data into meaningful information. This includes developing queries from different data sources (.xlsx, .txt, .pdf files), merging and appending them to create consolidated datasets, and automating routine reporting within Excel.
• Financial Reporting & Forecasting : Reporting, analyzing, forecasting, and interpreting financial and operating data. This may include profit / loss analysis, cost analysis, market niche reporting, regional performance assessments, customer proposals, rate of return, and depreciation. The role also involves supporting some end-of-month accounting activities.
• Ad-Hoc Projects : Preparing complex financial analysis reports and completing individual analytical and ad-hoc projects with abstract guidelines.
• Operational Support : Advising on and recommending desirable operational adjustments to management and interpreting budget-to-actual variances. The position also develops operating metrics and reviews performance against plans.
• Mentorship : You may serve as a mentor and evaluator for lower-level staff and assists other teams with financial matters as required.

Compensation and Benefits :

The base salary range for this position is $73,500 to $122,500 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred

Years of Related Experience : Typically has 5-7 years related experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities : Advanced PC skills including Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite; advancedunderstanding of financial analysis and accounting policies, procedures, programs and processes; solid communicationand interpersonal skills; proficient use of automated general ledger systems and reporting tools (SAP, SQL, Cognos,ReportNet and BEx); advanced skills in the development of financial ratios and comparative analysis; thoroughunderstanding of general accounting principles and accepted standards; CPA or pursuit of CPA preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide assistance with mentoring and / or evaluation of lower level staff.
