Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with patient, family, and members of the healthcare team.
• Assess the physical and psychological status of patients, provide interventions / treatments and evaluate effectiveness of care to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and family and provide age-specific and culturally appropriate education. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration :
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education :
• Diploma from an accredited school / college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences No additional preferences.
