We are seeking a Tax Senior Manager or Director to join our Trust & Estate Tax team within our National Tax practice.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm. This position is remote but may require presence at a CohnReznick office for client work, team meetings, or trainings with scheduled notice.

Your Team

This position is within our National Tax Team and will focus on Trust & Estate work, with potential involvement in 1040 / 1041 work as well. You will partner with other technical experts and have opportunities to learn and develop rapidly.

Your Role

Responsibilities include but not limited to :

• Review complex gift, estate and fiduciary income tax returns;
• Review fiduciary accountings for trusts and estates;
• Provide tax planning and consulting to high net worth clients for estate and individual income taxes;
• Read and summarize estate planning documents, and provide guidance on federal & state income and death tax treatment;
• Research and consult on estate, gift and trust issues, such as trustee and beneficiary issues, tax impact of estate administration, and generation skipping tax issues;
• Help generate opportunities within existing clients and pursue new clients;
• Prepare and present technical training to specialty group and core tax department;
• Have responsibility for managing all aspects of client relationships;
• Manage a team of professionals within the group to complete engagements from start to finish.
