Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $1,833 per week in Asheville, NC

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Emergency Department Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 10 : 45 PM - 11 : 15 PM Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience License : RN License required Certifications : - ACLS before starting date - BLS before starting date - PALS before starting date - TNCC before starting date - CPI before starting date - NIHSS before starting date - ENPC within 90 days of hire Must-Have : - 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department - Teamwork mentality - Ability to coach and give feedback in real time - Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Description : The Emergency Department has 101 beds with typical medical patient ratios of 4 : 1 and up to 7 : 1 on behavioral holds. Technicians are available and work in cardiac monitoring and internal processing areas, as well as triage. Unit clerks are present during both day and night shifts. Equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors. Documentation is done through a specified system. Scheduling is required every other weekend, with no commitment to block scheduling. Staffing needs must be met by the department. There is no floating outside of the Emergency Department, but floating within all sections of the department is required. Patient experience protocols include AIDET and respectful behavior towards patients. Patient boards are updated with information throughout each visit. Advanced skills are needed, including a range of emergency procedures. The department values teamwork and has a supportive environment, serving a multicultural community.
