The Scale House Attendant / Operator is the first point of contact for customers at our facility. Daily responsibilities include performing initial inspection of loads, collecting, reviewing, and processing the appropriate paperwork. The Scale House attendant / operator also ensures the safety of all customers / visitors, and other employees through observation of company safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive logs, chips or other material into the plant.
• Inspect loads to ensure quality criteria is met.
• Weigh incoming trucks, issue a ticket for receipt into the plant and re-weigh truck upon exit of the plant to ensure accurate billing.
• Ensure safety of scale area and that loads are not brought in that do not meet safety criteria.
• Keep scale and ramps clean and free of debris.
• As first point of contact, communicate in a professional, courteous manner with our suppliers.
• Assist drivers with the scaling system and safety protocol to ensure accurate information and driver safety.
• Other jobs as directed.
