About the Role

We are a employee-owned engineering and consulting firm building sustainable infrastructure. As an Electrical Project Engineer – Substation QA / QC you will perform quality assurance / control of substation design packages, collaborate with the design team, and continuously improve processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function as a quality control / quality assurance engineer within the substation quality management group (QMG).
  • Perform QA / QC of substation design packages including physical design and protective relaying / control with emphasis on continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the substation design team and coordinate with internal / external team members on moderately complex projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on design guides, standards, applicable codes and B&V policies.
  • Prepare engineering deliverables, perform research, develop recommendations for equipment / material selection, and manage assigned budget, schedule and quality requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High voltage (HV) substation design experience – Physical and / or Protection & Controls.
  • Project lead and technical specialist experience overseeing utility substation clients and projects.
  • QA / QC Reviews – Quality Assurance / Quality Checks.
  • Experience coordinating and communicating with clients, multidisciplinary leads and project managers.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Proficient with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
