Facility in Newport News, VA seeking GI locums coverage Rates - $3000 / day plus $450 / hr call back Job Overview :

Start Date : Open (immediate need due to provider medical leave).
Practice Setting : Acute care community hospital.
Clinical Focus : Inpatient consults for adult patients in gastroenterology.

Key Details :

Call Ratio : All.

Average Patient Volume :

Hospital-Based Patients : 5-10 per day.

Support : Solo practice.

EMR : Epic.

Required Procedures :

Lower GI Endoscopy : Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).

Upper GI Endoscopy :

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy.

Endoscopy with Biopsy, PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy).

Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser).

Requirements :

Board Certified in Gastroenterology : Required.

Active Virginia License : Required.

Certifications : BLS and ACLS (Required).

Experience : Proficiency in listed procedures.
