Due to growth Greco Structures continued growth we are adding a Staff Accountant (or Senior Accountant) to our Houston team. The Staff Accountant will perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The Staff Accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. This person will be very involved in the Accounts Receivable process.
This is a full-time, Monday-Friday in-office position offering a competitive salary, benefits, 401k and annual bonuses.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
- This role involves managing accounting operations and intercompany transactions across five affiliated subsidiaries
- Collaborate with and support team members in daily accounting operations specific to construction projects.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card transactions.
- Support WIP schedule preparation and reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable / receivable and subcontractor payments.
- Monitor and support the team on billing accuracy, collections, and resolving discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the Legal Department to ensure timely filing of lien notices, bond claims, and legal actions to protect the company's collection rights.
- Maintain and monitor fixed asset and depreciation schedules.
- Monitor and ensure proper application, documentation, and remittance of sales tax on taxable transactions.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations
- Collaborate with project managers, and operations on financial matters.
- Implement and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.Strong knowledge of construction billing processes, lien and bond notice filings and job cost accountings.3+ years of accounting experience.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
