Position Summary :

EG America is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer. Reporting to the Head of IT Security, this role will blend day-to-day cyber engineering with security design.This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building solutions while contributing to architecture design and standards. The Sr. Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining safeguards to protect EG America's systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. You will work closely with various internal and external partners to ensure the security of our systems and data.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions for Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Develop and maintain firewall and network security designs.
  • Manage identity and access management systems.
  • Implement and manage end point security policies.
  • Participate in vulnerability assessments and manage remediation efforts.
  • Manage and mature Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions and Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR).
  • Apply Zero Trust principles to enhance security posture.
  • Participate in DevSecOps reviews.
  • Periodic participation in SaaS and IOT solution evaluations
  • Working Relationships :

    Internal IT Teams, Internal Business Units, 3rd party technology partners.

    Requirements :

    Minimum Education : Bachelor's degree

    Preferred Education : Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cyber Security

    Minimum Experience : Minimum of 6+ years of experience in cyber security, with at least 2 years in a senior role

    Preferred Experience :

  • 7-10 years of experience in cyber security, with 2-5 years in a senior role
  • Expertise in identity management.
  • Experience implementing Zero Trust.
  • Proficiency in firewall and network security design.
  • Experience with endpoint security tools (Anti-Malware, EDR, Application Control)
  • Experience deploying secure configurations (DISA STIGS, CIS Benchmarks, etc)
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and patch management tools.
  • Experience with SIEM solutions.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Familiarity with Compliance and Security Frameworks (NIST CSF, CCPA, PCI)
  • Familiarity with SDLC, DevSecOps, Web Application Firewalls is a plus
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code is a plus
  • Retail experience is preferred
  • Licenses / Certifications : CISSP, CISM, Azure Security Engineer or Solutions Architect (AZ-500,AZ-305)

    Soft Skills :

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Travel : N / A

    Hours & Conditions : Typically Monday - Friday, 8 hour days, 4 days per week in office with opportunity for 1 flex day from home per week contingent on job performance / business needs.

    Physical Requirements : Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
