Job description

We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician Assistant for an 80-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Dec 8, 2025. This role features a Monday through Friday, 8 : 30am to 5 : 30pm schedule, providing outpatient adult primary care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

Deliver bread and butter outpatient adult primary care to patients with multiple health issues

Manage chronic care cases and internal medicine needs

Conduct patient visits in 20-minute blocks, ensuring efficient and thorough care

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes

Additional Information

Minimum 3 years experience in an internal medicine or family medicine outpatient setting as a Physician Assistant required

Must be comfortable with a high-volume schedule and complex adult cases

National certification required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required (AHA versions)

Required board certifications : Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Must be licensed to practice in California
