About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead its comprehensive development and public affairs program. Applicants for the CDO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (CFRE certification preferred) and at least 10 years' experience in major gift and capital campaign fundraising. A minimum of 5 years in senior management and communications, including Board engagement, is required. The ideal candidate will be a visionary, strategic, and results-driven leader with a proven track record in fundraising and a strong background in partnering with academic and medical professionals. Key qualifications include exceptional writing, organizational, and administrative skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. The CDO will be expected to lead and inspire a development team, foster a culture of excellence and creativity, and build cross-departmental partnerships to integrate fundraising and communications into the organization's goals.
